Smokey Joe lost a long and well fought battle with lymphoma on December 31, 2001. He leaves us with many wonderful memories, a great deal of experience on working Dobermans (especially himself) and a legacy of intelligence, stability, loving, and proper Doberman temperament passed on through his progeny.

Smokey Joe was only bred once, very selectively, to Von Wilhamhoff’s Royal Dalton, SchH 1. Links to some of the puppies from this breeding are at the Gina and Siblings Page. I will always miss this dog, will always see parts of him in his kids. We are so grateful for the chance to have met and loved our Smokey Joe

Smokey Joe earned his Schutzhund 1 on September 29, 2000 with a Protection score of 95/Pronounced, to achieve the distinction of High Protection in Trial .
